La mitica Lhasa, il tetto del mondo, la regione più isolata e mistica della terra. In scenari fiabeschi di altopiani e montagne così alte che toccano il cielo, si è sviluppata una delle culture più affascinanti e misteriose: il buddhismo tibetano, con i suoi immensi monasteri, i suoi colori intensi e le sue feste incredibili.
NOTA BENE:
-in Tibet si raggiungono altitudini elevate (dai 3.500 fino ai 5.250 m. slm); il viaggio è da sconsigliare a chi soffra di disturbi cardiaci o di pressione.
-i percorsi in mezzo privato sono, per quanto affascinanti, lunghi e faticosi, e frane e interruzioni possono costringere a improvvisi cambiamenti di programma.
-il programma di visite può essere soggetto a modifiche, anche radicali, senza preavviso, per volere dell’autorità governativa;
-le guide in Tibet sono scarsamente preparate, soprattutto dal punto di vista linguistico
-le sistemazioni alberghiere sono modeste

All'arrivo a Lhasa (3.650 metri slm) trasferimento in città (che dista 80 km. circa dall'aeroporto); sistemazione in albergo. Resto della giornata a disposizione per il riposo necessario all’acclimatamento. Pranzo e cena in albergo. ALTITUDINE ED ACCLIMATAMENTO Attenzione a NON sottovalutate l’effetto dell’altitudine: anche se vi sentite bene, non riposare il giorno dell’arrivo può voler dire ipotecare l’intera vacanza! Vi preghiamo vivamente, anche se vorreste uscire subito, di stare fermi il primo giorno per acclimatarvi: vi trovate a più di 3.500 m slm e tra pochi giorni salirete ancora! Normali sintomi sono mal di testa, fiato corto, battiti del cuore accelerati, gambe molli, nausea e a volte vomito. Solitamente si presentano forti il primo giorno, ma non spaventatevi, l’effetto sarà minore già dal secondo, e dal terzo dovrebbe ritornare tutto alla normalità, MA, se non affrontate appropriatamente l’altitudine con il riposo, i sintomi potrebbero perdurare per l’intero viaggio. E' buona norma bere tanti liquidi e mai freddi (tè, acqua) e limitare la quantità di cibo ai pasti; consigliamo inoltre di non assumere se possibile medicinali per non coprire i sintomi di problemi più gravi.

Il piccolo quartiere del Barkhor e l'area del Potala rimangono siti di inestimabile valore artistico e culturale.

Pensione completa In mattinata, prime visite: il Monastero Drepung, il più grande del Tibet, che arrivò ad ospitare fino a 10.000 monaci. Nel pomeriggio, visita al Tempio Jokhang, il cuore del buddhismo tibetano, ed al mercato Balkhor Cioide.

Drepung, situato appena fuori dalla capitale del Tibet Lhasa, è il monastero più grande del Paese. Venne fondato nel 1416 da Jamyang Chojey, discepolo di Je Tsongkhapa, fondatore della scuola Gelug.
La scuola di Drepung - insieme a quelle dei monasteri di Ganden e Sera - offriva il più alto grado di istruzione nei settori della filosofia e della teologia del Buddismo tibetano di scuola Gelug.
Custodisce i resti dei suoi preziosi tesori, andati disrtutti dopo l'occupazione cinese. Da alcuni anni, i monaci sono tornati ad abitare il monastero, parzialmente restaurato.
Jokhang, anche conosciuto come Jokhang Temple o Jokhang Monastery, è situato nella piazza di Barkhor, a Lhasa.
Venne fondato durante il regno di re Songsten Gampo, e fu costruito in onore della Bhrikuti inserendo all'interno del Tempio una sua statua.
Molti artisti nepalesi lavorarono alla costruzione di questo tempio, e per la maggior parte dei tibetani è il tempio più sacro e importante in Tibet, ed attualmente è controllato dalla scuola Gelug.

Pensione completa In mattinata, visita al Potala, sede storica del Governo del Dalai Lama. Nel pomeriggio, visita alla città monastica di Sera ed al Norbulingka, ultima residenza del Dalai Lama.

Il Palazzo del Potala si trova a Lhasa, capitale del Tibet, e prende il nome dal Monte Potala, la dimora di Avalokitesvara.
Fu la residenza principale del Dalai Lama fino alla fuga del 14º Dalai Lama a Dharamsala (in India) a seguito dell'invasione e della fallita rivolta del 1959.
L'edificio presenta tredici piani che si alzano per 117 metri sulla cima del Marpo Ri, la "Collina Rossa", con un'altezza totale di oltre 300 metri dal fondo della valle.
Oggi è stato convertito in museo dal governo cinese.
Norbulingka, situata a Lhasa, è stata l'antica residenza estiva del Dalai Lama, fino al 1950.
I lavori di costruzione del palazzo e dei relativi giardini iniziarono nel 1755 e terminarono nel 1783, anno in cui la struttura divenne la residenza estiva dell'ottavo Dalai Lama, Jampel Gyatso.
Il palazzo dista tre chilometri dal Palazzo del Potala, insieme al quale è inserito tra i beni dichiarati Patrimonio dell'umanità dall'UNESCO.

Il lago Namtso

Pensione completa. Intera giornata dedicata all'escursione al lago Namtso, noto anche come "Lago del Cielo" in tibetano, in direzione nord-est, salendo fino a 4.750 metri slm e valicando un passo a 5.000 metri. Il lago, (che è il secondo lago salato più grande della Cina) funge da specchio ad una catena montuosa himalayana le cui vette superano i 7.000 metri. La sua bellezza mozzafiato, combinata con il significato religioso e l’ambiente incontaminato, lo rende una meta imperdibile per gli amanti della natura e della cultura tibetana. Sarà possibile fare un piccolo trekking ('kora’: pellegrinaggio a piedi) di due ore lungo le rive, in un contesto naturale superbo.

***INGRESSO IN TIBET DA AEROPORTO CINESE***
-VISTO CINA: Dal 1°dicembre 2023 al 30 novembre 2024 i cittadini italiani, francesi, tedeschi, olandesi, spagnoli e malesi in possesso di passaporto ordinario potranno viaggiare in Cina per motivi di affari commerciali, turismo, visite ai familiari o amici, o transito per un MASSIMO soggiorno di 30 GIORNI senza bisogno di richiedere un visto d’ingresso.
Coloro che non rientrano nelle suddette categorie o nel limite di tempo e i cittadini italiani, francesi, tedeschi, olandesi, spagnoli che sono in possesso di passaporto servizio dovranno comunque richiedere un visto d’ingresso per viaggiare in Cina.
-PERMESSO DI INGRESSO IN TIBET
Se l’ingresso in Tibet avviene da un aeroporto cinese, sarà necessario essere in possesso del Permesso di Ingresso in Tibet, il cui costo è già inserito nel tour: la copia di tale permesso vi verrà inviato via mail pochissimi giorni prima della partenza, ma i clienti devono recuperare il permesso in originale nell’hotel cinese nel quale effettueranno il primo pernottamento
Nota bene: è fondamentale che i clienti ricordino di ritirare -nel primo hotel del viaggio in Cina- il permesso di ingresso in originale perché altrimenti non sarà possibile proseguire per Lhasa, e che lo conservino accuratamente per tutta la durata del viaggio!
***INGRESSO IN TIBET DA KATHMANDU***
Se l’ingresso in Tibet avviene da Kathmandu, non è possibile ottenere il permesso di ingresso in Tibet prima della partenza ma sarà necessario ottenerlo all’arrivo a Kathmandu: il personale del nostro corrispondente provvederà ad accompagnare i clienti all’Ambasciata Cinese di Kathmandu per portare i passaporti in originale e per il rilevamento delle impronte digitali. Il costo dell' operazione DOVREBBE aggirarsi intorno ai 180 usd che dovranno essere corrisposti direttamente dai clienti in loco al nostro corrispondente, ma l'importo dovrà essere riconfermato all'atto della prenotazione.
Nota bene: poiché l’ambasciata cinese di Kathmandu è aperta solo 2 o 3 giorni alla settimana, è necessario prevedere un soggiorno in Nepal di almeno 1 settimana
